On August 16th and 17th the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center hosted the annual PBIS Leadership Conference. The Elcho School District PBIS Team had the opportunity to attend this year. PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, and focuses on schools instilling a positive and supportive culture. All of the staff from Elcho who attended the conference walked away with great new ideas for their classroom. Additionally, the team found time to work together on ideas for the entire school district.

After Thursday's home victories against Gillett, the Lady Hornets Volleyball teams headed to Gresham for their first tournament of the season. In round one of match play, Elcho's Varsity took on Montello and lost 2 matches to 1. The Lady Hornets played on to win matches against both Gresham and Bowler. With perseverance, Varsity won the Wildcat Kick Off Tournament. JV finished third in their pool and fought for every point along the way. Our next match is at Laona on September 1st.
